B.S. in Industrial Engineering (IENG)

About

A three year program with the purpose of producing competent engineers who are highly trained in industrial engineering to meet the needs of a continuously expanding industrialized society. The undergraduate program prepares students with expertise in the analysis, design, implementation and control of integrated systems consisting of people, material, equipment, information and modes of communication through theoretical and hands on practices. It draws upon specialized knowledge and skills in mathematics, basic and applied engineering sciences, social sciences, and engineering management best practices. The IENG courses deal with topics such as simulation, optimization  production and manufacturing, occupational safety, engineering project management, quality assurance, human factors, and industrial engineering computer tools.

Program Educational Objectives

Within few of years of graduation, Industrial Engineering graduates will:

  1. Solve different kinds of Industrial Engineering problems they face in their professional career. 
  2. Identify and analyze contemporary pressing engineering problems and formulate their feasible and adequate solutions.
  3. Nourish professional development through technology transfer and exchange of expertise and demonstrate commitment to social, ethical and professional responsibilities through their contribution to the general welfare of the society.
  4. Pursue advanced engineering studies and be employable in a variety of industrial engineering jobs.
